The day of love was a day of eating!

YES!

This day, according to Catholic tradition (& wiki) was actually a feast in honor of the many St. Valentines (there were more than one) that were martyred in Rome!

However, thanks to the wonderful Geoffery Chaucer and his work "Parliament of Foules", Feburary 14th is now associated with romance and love.

Just thought you might like to know.
